The Canada Games continue until the end of August, and the whole country is watching more than 2,000 athletes compete in a multitude of disciplines, from basketball to archery. You only have to watch the competitions to understand that such a level of skill requires years of training. But that's not all.
We met with Dr. Sheila LaPlante and Dr. Kevin Loopeker, who specialize in sports vision, to find out what an athlete's eye exam entails and how vision training can optimize performance. They also gave us some tips for amateur athletes who would like to improve their sports vision with simple eye exercises. (A small reminder: binge-watching TV is not a sport.)
