While the cost of your eye exam may vary depending on your vision needs, at Visique we always offer competitive pricing. The cost of your eye exam is also based on the fact that we use current technology (like our optomap® Retinal Scanner) that can detect eye diseases, cancer and other vision issues that traditional eye exams might miss. Contact your provincial health care provider to find out if your next eye exam is covered. Most provinces in Canada completely or partially cover both children's and seniors' eye exams.
Absolutely! At Visique / FYidoctors we're always accepting new patients. As Canada's largest and fastest growing eye care provider, we have over 200 locations to serve you, offering competitive prices, current technology, and an unparalleled experience. To become a new patient, contact your nearest Visique location.
In general, the length of time can vary depending on your eyecare needs and the eye wear you've chosen. Some patients are able to get their new eye wear within an hour or less. If you purchase Internal Freeform lenses (that are customized specifically to your eyes using 3D digital imaging technology), it can take on average roughly 2 weeks. That's because we manufacture these lenses ourselves at our Canadian facility to ensure the highest level of quality.
Many people believe that there's no need to get an eye exam since they don't wear corrective eye wear and haven't noticed any change in their vision. Unfortunately, this can lead to a huge range of issues. That's because many eye diseases have no noticeable symptoms until later stages of the condition—meaning you might have a serious vision problem and not even know it.
That's why Health Canada recommends getting a comprehensive eye exam at least once every 2 years, even if you don't think there's anything wrong with your eyes. Children, seniors, and anyone who wears corrective eyewear should get their eyes examined annually. As soon as you notice any change in your vision, you should book a comprehensive eye exam with Visique.
Like your fingerprints, no two eyes are the same. Unfortunately, most lens manufacturers adopt a "one-size-fits-all" approach. Visique’s Internal Freeform lenses are different, using current 3D digital imaging technology to create lenses that are customized just for your eyes, offering a sharper and more focused vision experience. In fact, a number of Visique patients who have made the switch from traditional to Internal Freeform lenses have said the difference is like switching from regular to HD TV. It's that much clearer and sharper!
At Visique we value fashion and style as much as you. That's why we feature a wide selection of designer frames to suit your style, budget, and vision needs. We offer fashionable frames from some of the biggest brands in the industry, with names like Ray-Ban, Easyclip, ici, OGA, Versace, Nike, Gucci, Armani, and more! At Visique, we offer a wide selection of contact lenses from major brands like ACUVUE® OASYS®, AIR OPTIX®, Biofinity, and more. We also feature contacts for astigmatism and a wide variety of other vision issues, and we offer competitive prices and free exchanges if your prescription changes and your eye exam took place at Visique. All of our contact lenses are also verified for accuracy and include personalized fittings and follow-ups with one of our Doctors of Optometry.
If you haven't had success with contact lenses in the past or have an eye condition that requires a custom design, we offer the Medmont Corneal Topography system, a device that uses current technology to measure your eye and create custom contact lenses to meet your unique eye care needs.
Visique offers a 2-year warranty on regular priced lenses and frames, and a 1-year warranty on our value lenses and frames (including prescription sunglasses). For kids' eyewear, we also offer a one-time unconditional replacement on our exclusive frames and lenses for the first year (for the same prescription).
