Everyone deserves exceptional eyecare, period. Locally and globally, we consider it our mission to deliver quality vision services wherever they are needed.
Visique is a Platinum Sponsor of Optometry Giving Sight, a global not-for-profit organization that delivers quality eye care and eyewear to those in need.
According to the World Health Organization, as many as 600 million people around the world struggle with blindness or vision impairment simply because they don't have access to an eye exam or corrective eyewear.
Optometry Giving Sight is a global not-for-profit organization that's chosen to take on this far-reaching health issue by training local eye care professionals, establishing vision centres in critical areas and delivering eye care and eyewear to those without access.
Visique is a proud Platinum Sponsor of Optometry Giving Sight, with Visique CEO Dr. Al Ulsifer currently serving as a member of the organization's international Board of Directors. Visique locations also participate in several fundraising initiatives on behalf of Optometry Giving Sight, including the World Sight Day Challenge. Since becoming a sponsor, we've raised over $200,000 for Optometry Giving Sight.
World Sight Day is an annual day of awareness held in October to focus global attention on blindness and vision impairment. This unique day is supported by Optometry Giving Sight and a variety of other eye health organizations around the world. The goal is to raise much-needed funds to support local and international vision care projects.
Visique not only participates in the World Sight Day Challenge, but also raises funds throughout the month of October, with Visique’s staff and patients having raised tens of thousands of dollars in donations over the past few years to help train new doctors in developing countries, screen at-risk children and build local schools of optometry.

The FYi Foundation for Sight is the philanthropic eye care platform of Visique dedicated to improving access to eye care and corrective vision needs for underserved patients around the world.
Our support is primarily through partnerships with international charities, including Optometry Giving Sight and the Foundation Fighting Blindness. Any donations given to Visique are allocated to the "Flow Through Fund" (overseen by the Calgary Foundation), which redirects these funds to philanthropic initiatives and charitable partners Visique supports.
Visique is a proud sponsor of the Foundation Fighting Blindness, Canada's leading private supporter of retina research.
The Foundation Fighting Blindness is a Canadian health not-for-profit organization that was founded in 1974 by a small group of families intent on finding a cure for the disease robbing their children of sight. Today, the Foundation Fighting Blindness has grown to become Canada's leading private supporter of retina research, having given more than $25 million to ground breaking eye research taking place at universities and hospitals across the country.
Visique is a proud partner of the Foundation Fighting Blindness, providing both financial support and resources to aid this incredible organization's ongoing efforts.

Visique has created the Better Sight. Better Grades program to provide free eye care and eyewear to disadvantaged Canadian students.
According to the Canadian Association of Optometrists, over 25% of school age children have vision problems. Unfortunately, each year in Canada, thousands of students go undiagnosed and untreated for even the most basic vision problems, with studies showing a direct correlation between poor eye health and poor performance at school or in other areas of a student's life.
As one of Canada's largest independent eye care companies, Visique believes in helping Canadian students see their full potential. That's why we've created the Better Sight. Better Grades. program. The idea behind the program is simple: the optometrists and staff at Visique are reaching out to schools in their communities to help identify two potentially underprivileged students at each school who may be experiencing vision problems and potentially in need of new glasses. Visique is offering a complimentary pair of eyeglasses* to each of these two students when they come and get an eye exam**, with no cost or obligation to the student, their parents or the school.
For more information on the Better Sight. Better Grades. program, please contact your nearest Visique clinic.
* Each complimentary pair of glasses includes an Visique private or exclusive label frame and Value Plus lenses. See in store for details. Non-prescription sunglasses and contact lenses do not apply. Offer only valid with eye exam. Complimentary eyewear is non-transferrable and cannot be redeemed for cash. Offer expires at the end of the school year.
** Eye exams are covered by provincial health care for children under 20 years of age in ONT, under 19 in BC, AB and MB, under 18 in SK and under 10 in NS. Visique will cover the cost of the eye exam (for this program only) for children under 18 years of age in provinces that do not offer coverage and for children between the ages 10-18 in NS.
